I juggled several roles as I fulfilled my journey to become a Counselor. At one point in my life, I was a single parent, dealing with health issues, while trying to maintain a career and household. My past life and clinical experiences allowed me to acquire a deeper understanding of issues many people faced when challenged by multiple responsibilities. I enjoy helping people learn how to disconnect from codependent thoughts and behaviors that stem from dysfunctional belief systems.
I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in the State of Illinois and Licensed Mental Health Counselor for the State of Indiana. I am also a Certified Clinical Mental Health Counselor and National Certified Counselor through the National Board for Certified Counselors. I received a BA from DePaul University and a Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling from Purdue University. I am a member of “The American Association of Christian Counselors.” I serve clients in Illinois and Indiana (Joliet, Crest Hill, Plainfield, Romeoville, Channahon, Mokena, Bolingbrook, Hammond, Highland, Munster, Gary, and Schererville).
My past clinical experiences included working with children, adolescents, families, couples, adults, victims of domestic violence, substance abusers, and clinical management. During these experiences, I treated clients with Depression, ADHD, Anxiety, Bipolar, Schizophrenia, Asperger’s, Reactive Attachment, Low Self-Esteem, Problems with Adjustment, Anger, Grief, Relationships Issues, Sexual Abuse, Stress, Behavioral problems, and Personality Disorders.
