Mariyah Martinez, LMHA, NCC
Licensed Mental Health Associate
I believe everyone should have a safe place to heal as they work on their mental health. I want to help you reach your ultimate potential as you work through issues related to negative self-talk, dysfunctional behaviors, anxiety, depression, poor adjustment to changes, low self-esteem, fear of setting boundaries, or interpersonal problems in your relationships.
My role is to listen and understand, not to judge or invalidate. I will be there to support and challenge you when needed, always with respect for your experiences. Together, we can foster growth and help you discover your true identity.
My clinical background includes working in an inpatient unit and as a School Counselor. I am a Licensed Mental Health Associate and National Certified Counselor. I have experience working with teens, adults, men, and women from diverse backgrounds. I completed my Master’s degree at Purdue University in Mental Health Counseling. My use of theoretical interventions varies based on my client’s particular learning style and needs.
A few of my interventions include Mindfulness, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Restructuring, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, Play-Therapy, and Psychoanalytical Therapy.
If you would like to start your healing journey, contact our office using the form on this page. You can also email us at [email protected]. If you prefer to call, our number is 219-228-8799 or 815-725-1301.
